Irina Kasatkina has been teaching piano to my 11-year old son for two years. He has developed both an ability to play and an enjoyment of music because of Irina's thoughtful guidance. Her love of music and teaching is quite evident, whether she's teaching how to play, how to read music, or other music fundamentals. I am impressed with her kind and clear manner that encourages my son to explore the music. She incorporates his interests into the lessons, including helping him write his own compositions at age 10! She has won my son's heart and imagination, and he has this to say about Irina: "She helps me change what I"m doing wrong, she picks out the right books and songs for me, and she does it all very nicely." Perhaps the best recommendation is that he enjoys coming back every week for his lesson, and wants to practice so that he can improve every week! Attila is exceptional. He is a master of the arts of playing music and teaching it. He teaches chords, notes of course, and the precise finger positions each lesson with continuous feedback. Attila teaches my son with ADHD. My son learns from him and is motivated to come back with what Attila has asked of him. We haven’t had great quality from anyone else in Portland until we met this fabulous maestro, Attila Csikos. Sign up, he can teach you and yours no matter if the student is just starting, intermediate or preparing to compete for a chair in band. My son is 8 and composed a short song about our dog. Attila ties life into playing music and enthusiastically played the song with him and critiqued the score. My son is getting an opportunity to learn from the best.

I had not had piano instruction for 46 years ! He taught me theory ; How to find and use the cords in any key ; rhythms; and playing as a worshiper and facilitator for worship . Also some beginning instruction on creating music . Beginning with familiar and adding one new element , words, tune, rhythm . Excellent Instructor !

Alex is absolutely phenomenal, and really does well at pushing you to become a better singer. He finds way to meet you were you are, while also tailoring warmups and exercises to challenge you and improve technique. Lessons are always fun, and I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking to strengthen their confidence in singing!

I had always wanted to learn piano and I wanted to have something that my kids and I could learn together. I needed someone who was going to be good with both adults and kids and Rachel fit that perfectly. Rachel helped me by being so patient and encouraging. She made the learning process really fun but always challenged us to try to push ourselves in our learning. Her encouragement helped us want to practice in between lessons and we looked forward to her visits. She helped grow our love of learning music instead of making it feel like a chore. Forest is great at structuring lessons to your ability. Additionally, he is good at adjusting the lesson plans to what you need or want to do. I started with a base knowledge and ability a year ago and have been very pleased and surprised with my progress. I recommend him to anyone looking for the flexibility of virtual lessons.
