About

I specialize in teaching children to ride. I have past experience with special needs clients and I will take children as young as four years old.

I have great success with kids who are shy and timid. The pony I use for lessons is outstanding with young pupils.

I really enjoy watching students learn new skill and apply them. It's so exciting watching them advance.

Bekki taught me everything I needed to know, with the best lesson horse out there. She prepared me so well and made me the horse women I am today. I would highly recommend her lesson’s to anyone wanting to learn or expand their knowledge!

I brought my son to Rebecca. He was a shy,and anxious. He lived in a different world of autism. His life had been about fitting into our world. Rarely did we fit into his. The day he met Gimli was the day our two worlds align. The relationship was instant . Rebecca and Gimli were allowed to enter Tuckers world. Slow and steady, safe and complete instruction. We saw a transformation. Tucker became more confident and less anxious. We will never be able to thank Rebecca and Gimli for helping Tucker connect.

    Frequently asked questions

All new students start out with a helmet fitting first. I ask about the student's past experiences with horses to get an idea of skill level.
Then we bring the pony out and learn to handle a horse safely. We spend some time learning how to properly brush and pick hooves.
Next we get tacked up by putting on the equipment the pony will be wearing for the day's lesson. The remainder of the lesson is spent in the saddle learning the basics of how to go, stop, and steer.
All lessons are conducted in an indoor arena year round. I usually walk next to new students while they are on the pony learning these new skills. The pony I use for lessons is 13 hands and fantastic with kids. He is very calm and patient. He will go slowly for new students and when they become more accomplished he will pick up the pace as requested.
