Ryan is a Class A Member of the PGA of America and originally from the Lehigh Valley. He was born and raised in New Tripoli, Pennsylvania and graduated from Penn State’s Professional Golf Management Program in 1999. Ryan has given over 10,000 lessons in his career. For the past 16 years he has been teaching in the metropolitan New York area at Hudson National Golf Club – a Golf Digest Top 100, Ridgeway Country Club in White Plains, and Round Hill Club in Greenwich, CT, ranked 6th best in Connecticut. “There’s just something about a well-struck golf shot. It puts a huge SMILE on your face. More than anything, I have enjoyed watching students over the years achieve that BIG SMILE. At 15 years of age, Matt won the long drive portion of the competition by bombing a 281 yard drive in front of a huge crowd! *Claiming victory in Metropolitan Assistant’s Event at Sunningdale GC in Hartsdale, NY. Ryan shot 29 on the front 9 and won the event with a score of 66. *3-time selection to play in the Squire Cup Matches. Pairs top assistants in the Met Section against head professionals. Team selections are based on demonstrated qualities in Leadership, Playing Ability, and Job Performance. Ryan is a Trackman owner and has attained specialty certifications with the following: TPI, US Kids Golf Certified Coach and Dr. Rick Jensen Mental Skills Program. He also is an Advisory Board member of the American Golf Society.
