About this pro

I have 30 years of teaching experience. Use of cameras, pressure mats, 3d motion. I've been lucky to work with touring professionals and mini tour players. I teach all ages, but I especially love working with juniors! Been teaching at Concord Country Club for the last 12 years. I am constantly learning about golf swing and biomechanics of the body.

Contact me now so we can work on that swing!

Love helping people get better!

Butch is incredibly personable and very patient. His style of teaching is very hands-on but also he let you do your own thing and you learn so much so quickly. He has the perfect demeanor to continue teaching for as long as he wants. I took one lesson and felt a marked improvement after just that one. Moreover, my wife took lessons with me and butch was fantastic at giving time to both of us whenever we needed it. She couldn't be happier either! He's an excellent instructor. Thanks Butch!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Normally we start at the putting green, move to chipping, half swings, full swings, and then golf course. Unless students wants something specific.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

As a pga professional we are required to have continueing education. Recently have done TPI, Bodi trac, k vest, Penn State 3d course. Also do Personal training and have been taught FMS. I spend a lot of time learning about how the body works.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

50 a half hour and 100 an hour. Do series of 6 for the price of 5 and a family package of 2500 for 34 hours.

How did you get started teaching?

Played competively and wanted to get better. So went to work for a great local teacher and then started flying all over the country to learn from whom ever I thought was good. I realized that I loved helping people get better.

What types of students have you worked with?

All levels including tour professionals, mini tour players, Club professionals, elite juniors, beggining juniors starting from age 5 and up. 25% of my lessons are with females.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

I would want to know how much experience they had.How much do they teach during the week or year. How they go about teaching students.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Its always helpful that the student tells the teacher what their expectations are and how much time they might have to committ to playing or practicing.
