I always start a lesson with a new student with the understanding that not all players learn the same way. For my visual learners I employ V1 Golf Video analysis which we can also send to the student so they can review it between lessons. For my kinesthetic learners we use a variety of training aids to help them feel the differences with actual body motions. For students that are audio learners we will have more of a conversation and explanation discussion that will also include a bit of quizzing to help them remember our processes.
While lowering scores and hitting your clubs farther are important, I also like to asses the student’s goals and aspirations that will help guide them to be a better player and create a more fun and enjoyable atmosphere with their game.
I really enjoy getting results from my students. There is nothing better than taking a beginning player and teaching them how to hit shots more accurately and consistently.
Andrew has great fundamental knowledge about the golf swing and game. Lessons move at the right pace - works on aspects that build on one another as opposed to correcting all flaws at once. He also provides a good balance of technology and "feel" when introducing new concepts.
Andrew is an absolute pro. The excellent growth in our sons golf is the direct result of great coaching by Andrew. My son looks forward to every lesson and always comes away with improvements. The proof is in the score, 60’s on 9 holes to low 40’s on 9 holes. Most importantly Andrew teaches “love the game” and our son has adopted this from Andrew’s lessons. We can not ask for anything more! Andrew is the best.
Andrew is an awesome instructor with a great gift for understanding and adapting his training to the needs of his students. We have been working together for over a year and I am consistently improving thanks to his guidance. I highly recommend Andrew! My game is so much better thanks to him.
Andrew tailors his teaching style to fit my personality type. He's about getting to a result versus trying to convince you that his preferred style of instruction is the best. He's also very honest when it comes to what's expected of me. We meet once a week in the most part and he always stresses the importance of what I'm doing when we're not in lessons, i.e. practicing what he showed me.
We have 4 phases of swing development.
1. Fundamentals of Golf
2. Turning and Rotation
3. Staying Connected in your swing
4. Finding the proper path and plane for each individual player.
