About
I am a very patient coach and I always keep it simple for my students. I try to give you the least amount of information and thoughts as possible, but that information I give you will make the biggest difference in improving your game. Too many thoughts about a motion will interfere with the effectiveness of your swing.
I will always follow up after each coaching session using an app called CoachNow. This message may include video, images, or just text. This has been proven to be more effective in retaining information after you leave the lesson tee.
I also incorporate the latest coaching techniques in golf, technology including aboutGolf's premium golf simulator launch monitor technology or TrackMan/Full Swing golf simulator launch monitor technology and other training aids when appropriate.
I really enjoy working with students who love the game as much as I do and seeing the improvement in my students. When someone shoots their best round ever or just has a breakthrough moment during a lesson it is so rewarding! Let me share my passion with you and help you to enjoy this great game even more!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Every student's ability and goals are different. My process when working with a new student is to begin with an interview of the client. I will ask about the current state of your game, what your goals are for improving your game, your past experience with golf, and your expectations for our lessons. I try to get to know my students on a personal level prior to the instruction even begins. It is necessary to establish a certain level of trust between the student and the teacher.
Our first lesson will usually begin on the driving range, but it may begin on the golf course if possible. I like to conduct an overall evaluation of a student's game rather than proceeding with the typical faults and fixes type of golf lesson. I will come up with a game plan tailored specifically to the needs of the student after determining the student's priorities for improvement.

How did you get started teaching?
I began working as an Assistant Golf Professional at a few different private golf clubs in the Philadelphia area. I was fortunate enough to spend a winter at the Jim McLean Golf School at Trump National Doral in Miami, Florida. After studying and learning from the best golf instructors in the world, I knew that teaching was my true passion. I came back to the Philadelphia area and as I began to give more lessons I decided to become a full-time golf instructor.
What types of students have you worked with?
Golfers of all ages and ability levels. I really enjoy working with competitive junior golfers or aspiring competitve juniors as well as adults of all ages and ability levels.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I really enjoy going to the PGA Merchandise Show and Demo Day in Orlando, Florida every winter. This has been an annual trip with my family and it has enabled me to stay up to date on all of the latest training aids and teaching concepts. Also, I am able to learn about and test the latest golf equipment!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would tell a student to do their research on the teacher. Most golf instructors have a website and you should read up on the teacher's philosophy as well as their credentials. Ultimately, it is up to the student to chose an instructor who they believe will help them acheive their goals.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Some great questions would be 1) how much experience do you have teaching? 2) Ask about the location and find out if they have access to a golf course, range, short game areas? 3) Ask what type of time commitment the teacher expects out of their students and if they will provide you with a practice plan?
