About
I am a very patient and knowledgeable golf professional and coach. I will keep your lesson(s) very simple and will not overload you with too many thoughts. This will help you learn a swing faster. If you have played before and have a swing that you feel comfortable with, I will do all I can to integrate what will make you play better without making you swing a certain way. If you have never played before I will start you off with the basic movements while also helping you feel comfortable getting away from the lesson area to the golf course. As your coach I want you to be comfortable with me and have the ability to ask questions whenever you think of them. I want you to succeed just as much if not more then you do.
As the Director of Instruction at Play a Round Golf in Ardmore, PA. With over 15 years of teaching all levels of the game, as well as being a highly skilled player I can help you improve and meet your goals. I am experienced in helping all skill levels from beginner to advanced players improve and take what they learned to the course. I will use my knowledge of the golf swing, and motor control learning to help you play better quicker. I will also couple that with technology proven to help players improve.
As one of the first indoor golf facilities in the Philadelphia area (voted best on the mainline) we can teach no matter the weather outside. We can also teach earlier in the morning and later in the night then almost every other facility around.
When I send you a quote that is the price for a lesson. However before that, I would like to have you come in for a free 15 to 30 minute swing assessment. That will include finding out your goals, learning styles, beginning swing videos in each area of your game (Full Swing Driver, 7 Iron, Short Game Pitch, Chip, and Putting), and student interview. From that assessment I will put a program in place for you. That program will be a guide to help you meet the goals you have set for yourself. It will include how long I think it will take to reach your goal, what the steps will be to help you improve, and how much time, and how many lesson I think it should take. You can take that and run with the program, or you can just take the lesson and I will have record of what to work on if you come back.
Thank you for your interest and I look forward to working with you!

I enjoy helping my clients play better and understand the game better. I love the game and I hope when I get my students to understand the swing better they will to.

How did you get started teaching?
I have been a golf professional for over 15 years now. I got started after working in a job I did not enjoy for many years, so I went back to school and graduated with a degree in golf course management from the Golf Academy of America. After graduating I started working as an assistant golf professional for several years giving 1000's of lessons, I found I really love seeing all my students hit the ball better and am very passionate about helping others improve. Now as the Director of Instruction I get to see that every day.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of all ages and abilities. From beginner to plus handicaps and everything in between.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
The most recent was one of my students came in struggling with consistency. Would have a round in the 80's every now and then, but after we worked together for about 2 months he started really shooting well even got some rounds in the 70's. He took a lesson a month ago and I heard from him a few weeks ago that he won his flight in the club championship shooting 74 -75.
Another junior student who loves the game came in shooting in the high 50's for 9 holes. Really struggles with distance and scoring. After a 5 hour lesson package he is now shooting sub 45 with a low 9 hole round of 39. He has even started counting how many career birdies he has which I think stands at 39 as we speak.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
We have a lot of great golf coaches and instructors in the area. I am proud to call many of them friends. With that, we all have different was to interact with our students. I always suggest taking 1 lesson before buying a package to make sure you get along with them and they understand what you are looking for.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What are your goals?
How much time can you devote to reaching those goals?
As with anything it will take some effort to improve, but with the right coach you can start playing better
