THANK YOU
I am a personal trainer and yoga instructor, and have been training & teaching classes since 2015.
I do not believe one aspect is more important than the other, I believe they both are extermely benificial and should be included into everyones daily routine.
It is my goal to help make eating healthy and working out a lifestyle that can be easily accessible and applied to anyones life!

subject title: personal training sessions
I love helping people not only look better, but more importantly feel better. The process of getting stronger is not only physically beneficial, but mentallly beneficial. I love helping clients accomplish things they did not think that they can do and watching their confidence rise!
I also enjoy helping people find the right type of exercise regimen for their personal preference. I have taught: yoga, barre yoga, HIIT, boot camp, boxing, and spin classes in the past, so no matter what ones needs/desires I’m confident I can help!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When I work with a new student I always be sure to ask:
-what are your goals?
-do you have any injuries/ conditions that would interfere with completing a workout?
-have you ever worked out with a trainer before? If yes, what did you like/not like? If no, what do you hope to gain out of having a personal trainer?
Then I would go through a couple tests of certain exercises and balance/coordination to gague the level the student is at.
After that I take them through a quick workout, and after the session is over I come up with a program for them to reach their goals!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
NASM Personal Training Certification
200hr Yoga Teacher Training
I've been an athlete my entire life (from cross country, to swimming, dance, to gymnastics, so that is helpful when putting together workouts)
I also compete in crossfit, and olympic lifting competitions throughout the year, so I have a pretty decent understanding of competition environments, cutting/gaining weight, and competing!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I slightly have a set pricing that I follow, and is as listed.
-If I travel to the student I will charge more per session (due to it taking more time out of my day, and gas to get to the location)
-If the student travels to me I will change less per session.
-There is a $5/ session difference based on who is doing the traveling.
-single sessions are the most expensive, where as a 5 pack saves you $2/session and a 10 pack saves you $5/ session.
-If I travel to the student I only offer 45min & 1hr sessions.
-If the student travels to me I offer 30min, 45 min, & 1hr sessions.
How did you get started teaching?
I got started teaching by simply posting my journey on my facebook and instagram. Shortly after that friends were constantly wanting to workout with me, so I would take them to the gym and workout with them. Within a few months of doing that at my gym the personal trainers started asking me to workout with me, they didnt want to charge me and have me as a student, they wanted me to come up with workouts for us to do together! Through those relationships I had 2 trainers at my gym help mentor me and help me study to pass my exam! I've been in love with taching private lessons & group sessions ever since!
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with:
-senior citizens who needed assistance when standing up
-obease people needing to cut weight
-young adults training for a competition, and needing to cut weight in a healthy manner while maintaining strength
- multiple age groups that just have an hour a day set aside 2-3 times a week and know working out is good for them, but they are overwhelmed by coming up with their own workouts so they want to not have to think and just do the workout I come up with for them!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My favorite event that I am fond of is showing my student that they are capable of more then they think that they are capable of! Once they do something they thought they couldn't do, the look of excitment and shock that overcomes their face reminds me that I make a difference! I then naturally become filled with excitment as well and become their personal cheerleader!!!!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Trust the process. Do not expect anything to happen quickly. Be patient with yourself, you are going to be doing things that you have never done before or probably don't do as frequently as you should! It will get better over time, just stick with it!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Just make sure the trainer you are about to start working with can actually relate to you and has had similar experiences this way they can TRULY help you!
