We were named the Best of Gloucester County for an art center. We pride ourselves on teaching art, not crafts. The children learn about techniques and principles of art. Once a month the children pick an artist, then they emulate them and learn about their lives. Seeing the confidence the creativity builds in the children. Watching them complete a piece and having pride in their work. Since we have been teaching for over 6 years it is a great joy we find in seeing how an appreciation for the arts enriches the children's lives....

I am a craft and clay specialist who has been working with adults and children for over 30 years. My main objective in teaching is to have my students make something beyond their expectations. I always push the envelope so that my students realize they can make anything with the proper instruction. I really enjoy teaching and seeing the look of joy on my students faces when their piece is completed and it looks better then they expected it too. I came to pottery as a later-in-life learner. (In addition to my day job as an IT geek.) It started in 2004 with a first pottery class given as a gift. It has grown to a major focus of my life. I have learned pottery through taking many classes and workshops and by just plain doing. In 2015, I took the step to apply my clay knowledge and my adult education skills I have from my other life (IT career) and started teaching pottery wheel classes.
