Jeff Witon, PGA Professional Golf Lessons
About
I was born and raised in the Pittsburgh, PA area and have been a member of the PGA of America for nearly 15 years. My work experience includes working as a Golf Professional at major resort destinations up and down the east coast of the U.S. My resume speaks for itself: I have logged over 1000 hours of Instruction to all age groups and skill levels.
I'm offering private golf Instruction with a guarantee to fix your swing, build your confidence, and LOWER YOUR SCORES. I am experienced with all types of golfers: teaching and demonstrating the basics of the golf swing (grip, aim, set-up, swing mechanics) to weekend "hackers", club members, and high school/collegiate golfers.
I enjoy helping others. To most, the golf swing is a difficult puzzle to solve so when I make suggestions and my student sees results (lower scores), it makes it all worth while.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Introducing myself and learning about the student and the reasons they are getting a lesson. Giving a golf lesson with a "ground up" approach. Most swing flaws or ball flight issues stem from the basics of the golf swing.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I went to and area college to learn about and be a Golf Professional. Not long after graduating college I became a certified PGA Professional. I have worked at clubs and facilities all up and down the east coast of the U.S. continuing to learn and teaching the game.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$60 for an instuction hour with a guarentee to fix your swing and have my students leave happy but with an understanding of the problem and how to fix it.
How did you get started teaching?
I have always had a passion for golf. My father introduced me to the sport when I was young. I found that golf was what drives me and left me wanted to learn as much as I could about the game and how to teach it. I have been in the industry ever since.
What types of students have you worked with?
I am experienced with all types of golfers: teaching and demonstrating the basics of the golf swing (grip, aim, set-up, swing mechanics) to weekend "hackers", club members, and high school/collegiate golfers.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Any Golf Tournament: PGA Tour, LPGA Tour, Champions Tour.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
There are many "golf instructors" offering cheap lessons, but I argue, would you go to a doctor who is not certified? Don't let golf frustrate you: leave it to a certified PGA Professional.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Watching instuctional videos and reading books can only do so much. It is quite difficult, without proper training on ball flight and swing mechanics, to gain the knowledge to fix your own swing.
