Frequently asked questions

First, I ask how long the student has been riding and how much experience they have. Then, I will assess which horse would be most appropriate and the best match for the student. After a lesson or two, adjustments like, change of tack, or change of horse will be made so that the student feels confident and safe and can progress steadily in the right direction towards their goals.

Our head instructor, Robin Brooks Miller, has over 20 plus years of professional riding and instruction in the hunter jumper discipline. She has produced many successful students that compete in the show ring and accomplish personal goals with their horses at home.

We offer half hour private lessons for $30, an hour private for $60, and group lessons for $40 per hour per person.

Robin Brooks Miller had an interest in teaching even as a teenager. By 13 years old she knew she was going to be a professional in the equestrian business. Once she turned 18 she immediately was hired to ride professionally and branched out into instruction immediately.

We have worked with students of all ages and levels. From brand new beginners, to Grand Prix level jumpers.

Clear Round Equestrian has relocated to a fantastic facility in South Park Township. We are very excited for the future!

Always, always make sure that the instructor you choose is aware of safety-related issues and implements them every single time you ride. Horseback riding can be a very dangerous hobby/sport. There are very important steps to follow while working with such large animals to ensure your safety.

The student should approach a new teacher with a solid idea of realistic goals that they wish to achieve. Personal or competitive goals are very important, big or small, it helps to gauge your progress with yourself and your horse.
