I love seeing all the students progress so steadily...they constantly learn new skills and good horsemanship.

I began teaching riding lessons while I was in high school. I also taught college students to ride while attending Cornell University as part of their PE class. I was hired at Garrison Forest School in 1997 as the head polo coach. I've been running my own lesson program at Marlan Farm since 2004.

Ages 6-24 primarily. I work with absolute beginner riders who have never been near a horse to the highest level competitive polo players in both middle and upper school. I teach many players to ride successfully first then compete at polo next.

Ask a lot of questions. Tell your instructor if you're fearful, be outgoing but listen carefully when your instructor is speaking.
