I've been working with Kurtis off and on for a couple years now with excellent results. He is extremely knowledgeable about the intricacies of the golf swing and what separates him from other instructors is his communication skills. Whether you prefer a technical analysis or are like me and respond better to a more personal "feel" approach he is able to deliver the results you desire. I've worked with other instructors in the past but he is far and away better for my game and I'd bet he'd be the same for anyone else. Highly recommend!

I met Kurtis on a range and knew about him since he had graduated from my high school and plays professionally which has always been my goal. Immediately he improved my game more than my previous coach had in two years. Being a top 25 junior golfer in the state of Illinois I've had many coaches and lessons and Kurtis improved my average more than anyone else. I went from 75.2 to 74.1 in one month and I love that he isn't just a coach but someone that has played the game at high level. Theres more to the game than just hitting the ball on the range and Kurtis is able to speak from experience about playing in tournaments and under pressure. Great coach and an even better person.

Kurtis was very helpful in understanding the basics of golf! He was able to explain what to do in a very understanding way! I am on my 3rd lesson with Kurtis and have gained distance and my scores have dropped! He makes you excited to play golf again

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Our first lesson will help me get an understanding of your skill level, as well as an overview of any body limitations that need to be addressed

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been golfing since I was 5 years old. I have had the privilege of playing with some of the best players in the world. But most importantly, I have a huge passion for the game of golf!

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

$50/session,  which is usually 45-60 minutes long. If I have to travel to a student, the price will increase based on distance to travel

How did you get started teaching?

I currently play on various tours around the country (Latin America, Canada, Web.com, Section PGA). Teaching has allowed me to earn income, while still remain competitive at a national level. I am here to pursuit my dream, and if I can help others improve at the same time, that is a huge bonus

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with all levels. From juniors,  adults, and competitive players

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Look for a person with passion in what they are doing. There is a lot of bad golf teachings out there. Do your research into what kind of  instructor you are looking for and make sure you feel comfortable with him/her

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Think of your goals to take away from the lesson, as well as long term goals about our time together over the next 10 lessons
