Hello my name is Tony Ruiz I’ve played baseball for 16+ years. I played two years at a junior college in California and then transferred to a D2 school. Played two years and now I’m currently the assistant coach for Benedict college in Columbia South Carolina . I’ve had multiple experiences playing and coaching across multiple states around the country and have worked with all ages from 7-22 years old . As my playing days came to an end the love for the game is still in me which is why I love to spread my knowledge and teach the game of baseball the right way .

I am an ex professional athlete with the Tampa Bay Rays and playing in Japan as well! I have been doing private baseball lessons for the past 3-4 years and have enjoyed helping my students achieve their dreams. I have helped students achieve academic/athletic scholarships to Pepperdine, Yale, Arizona State, Mississippi State, and more. Hey guys! I’m a local graduate of airport highschool. I spent 3 years playing second base at The Citadel where I graduated, and then transferred to Clemson where I played second base, DH, left field and right field. I have a plethora of collegiate training experience all around the diamond!

I've coached for over 5 yrs in youth baseball. My specialty is infield and pitching. I focus on a players weakness to strength. We will work on basic fundamentals to advanced training sessions. Also, I use video to show a player what they are doing wrong to help them correct mechanical issues.
