About this pro

Hey, thanks for your interest! All of our instruction is done using Flightscope X2 elite launch monitor and JC Vidoe sports motion capture software. This will allow us to immediately determine the areas of opportunity in your swing. Most importantly this will allow for a faster progression in reaching your golf goals!

My work allows me to help others in reaching their goals. That is probably the most rewarding part of my job and why I enjoy it so much. Golf has been a passion of mine since I was a young child. Even though the game can be challenging, it also can be very rewarding. There are several fundamentals that every golfer must master in order to obtain the level of success they desire. It is my pleasure to help those individuals master the fundamentals and move on to more advaned skills.

Wade is one of the best golf swing instructors I have ever met. His indepth knowledge of the golf swing along with his state of the art swing analysis equipment provides a very quick and accurate analysis of what areas of my golf swing have needed improvement. My lessons with Wade have always yielded almost immediate improved results.

So many positives and I can't recommend Carolina Indoor Golf highly enough. 1. The people there, Wade Roberts and Tony Bailey are great. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. 2. It is nice to have not only great instruction but a full service club repair and adjustment facility in house. Tony Bailey is fantastic. 3. Wade's coaching has been a big part of dropping my handicap from a 14 to a 9. He actively listens and attempts to teach me the way I like and to help me develop a swing the way I want and that fits me. Rather than insisting on only one right way. I am a very visual learner, so it is critical that there be immediate video review of my swing during the lesson. Carolina Indoor Golf and Wade Roberts provide that capability. 4. On those rainy winter days it is great to be able to take advantage of the course simulators to play a round with my friends,

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

In teaching golf I see new students off all ability and experience levels. So my approach is different for each individual. For golfers who are newer to the game and instruction I always start out with a swing evaluation. This gives the golfer a great understanding of swing plane and club path. With this information we can then break down their swing and see exactly where they tend to get off plane and what is causing their swing flaws. With beginning golfers understanding the swing plane will lead to improvements much faster than traditional trial and error methods.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I took training courses at Golf Academy of America and studied under Professional Mar Fagan. He was the owner and operator of Edwin Watts Golf Academies. I was trained on specifically how to teach the golf swing and relay that infomation to my students in many different ways. I became the Director of Instruction of Edwin Watts Golf Academy in Greenville, SC until they closed. I have also passed the PGA players ability test.
