Both my sons take drum lessons from Lael. He was recommended to us by a local music teacher. They absolutely love it. They have learned so much and look forward to their lesson each week. Lael makes it fun and engaging. I can’t say enough good things about what he gives to the experience of learning. I would highly recommend him.

I've been a student for a few years now and my guitar playing has improved tremendously. Before lessons, I touched my guitar once in a blue moon. Now I get restless if I go a few days without playing. I have learned a lot about the fretboard and music theory, which has given me the confidence to not only learn more songs, but try things beyond what's written in the tabs, as well as learn songs by ear and try out improvising and soloing. It's clear that Ryan is passionate about teaching guitar, and I appreciate that he encourages me to step out of my comfort zone. I recommend taking lessons if you want to hold yourself accountable and gain a deeper understanding of guitar.

I have been working with Mark as an adult for about two years and am thrilled with the progress he has helped me to achieve. Having previously taken 7+ years of on-again, off-again lessons as both a child and an adult, I was forever frustrated that I knew technically "how to play" the piano; but, practically speaking, I couldn't really play anything that interested me very well at all. Mark quickly got to the bottom of that and taught me what I never learned before... "how to practice"!!! He patiently and encouragingly broke everything down with me to the most basic of practice steps to master each song one layer and measure at a time. For me, everything else failed, but this is working. We've gotten through Claire de' Lune are now rounding the corner with Beethoven's Pathetique. Thank you, Mark!

Dr. Maynard is a wonderful teacher. Her knowledge of different pedagogical strategies is really only balanced by her care for her students! As a former student, I grew a lot in a very short amount of time! She’s a wonderful teacher to work with and is a wealth of knowledge to draw upon! I greatly appreciated my time with her because not only was I learning, she was still researching other strategies to bring back to make the overall experience more satisfactory!
