Greetings ! I've been actively teaching and helping golfers enjoy this great game since 1978. It is in my heart and DNA....to have my students understand the true fundamentals and their own golf swing....so they have success......consistency and a ton of fun when they play.

Even after 44 years of teaching.....I enjoy working on learning to help my students and my own golf game.

To be sure.....anyone that is open and coachable is able to make great strides in their golf game. There are way too many "bad" ideas and incorrect concepts that are easily accessible in our world today....and they are hurting so many folks who would love to be better players.

I hope you will give me a chance to help you enjoy golf to a higher level and understand how to incorporate the lifelong fundamentals that do work and are important. There are not that many and not as fairly simple....and they "always" work. The band aid fixes and multitude of tips floating around do not last and even worse......usually damage your performance.

My experience is with all levels of players from beginner to expert......I've taught a lot of junior golfers and I've been very successful and always thrilled to see my students improve.

You will always get 100% of my efforts and expertise and I hope I get to meet you and help you improve and enjoy this wonderful "game of a lifetime" !

John is an incredible coach, he has neen coaching my daughter for the past 5 months. She has improved tremendously in just a short time with his guidance. John cares about his students progress, he has gone above and beyond to assist and encourage Zoë. He is not just a coach, he has become a friend. He takes the time to send videos with concepts to work on at home and sends material concerning the mental part of the game. I would give him more than 5 stars if I had the option.

He is very specific to your needs. Doesnt treat it like a cookie cutter process, but is patient to understand your swing and game, then work from there to get better. I went from shooting high 90s, to breaking 75 while John worked with me. Also very positive and encouraging! Best golf coach I have ever had and couldnt recommend more!

My teaching Facility is in Kingsport, Tennessee.

Class A PGA Member with extensive training after finishing the PGA courses.

Numerous teaching and training with the top teachers in the nation.

Annual Golf Teaching Summit in Nashville TN ....a 40 hour training

All types from beginner to PGA Professionals. Ladies, Juniors and Men

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

Teaching training for Veterans......PGA Hope Program.....a wonderful program to help our Veterans enjoy this great game and enjoy life so much more !

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Find someone who truly cares about your improvement. They must have the skills and knowledge to help you improve "your" swing and at your level. Patience, kindness and a great sense of humor is very helpful. They should be on a lifelong journey of learning to be the best teacher they can be. The 80/20 rule applies. 20% of the teachers will be the most skilled and successful in helping their students. (regardless of price) 80% will do the minimum to get paid....are not highly motivated and do not get good results. I have always strived to be in the best in all of these qualities.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

The very best PGA Tour players......almost all have a coach and benefit from professional guidance. If you are frustrated with your golf game, despite hard work and your tips from your friends and the internet......no question.....finding an excellent and caring PGA Instructor is a great move for your golf game and enjoyment !
