About this pro

Hello everyone, My name is Clint Suggs, PGA golf instructor at The Club at Gettysvue. I graduated from Campbell University in May of 2014 with my PGA certification and business degree. I have interned and worked with some of the best in the world. I interned at the Jim McLean golf school in Doral FL for 6 months, worked as an intern for David Orr (Justin Rose, Hunter Mahan, and many other pro golfers putting and short game instructor) for 6 months, and a few other internships. I have a Trackman and SamPutt Lab that I use in all of my lessons. Those 2 pieces of equipment can help me understand how to help improve your golf game and help you choose the correct equipment that fits your golf game. I am not a golf instructor that has a "method" swing that they only teach. I make sure that I take the time to get to know my student and I teach around the swing you already have. Everybody has different body types, injuries, and it is not right to teach the same swing to everyone because of that. I am very patient with my students and make sure you have a good time while you are in the lesson and want to continue playing this frustrating game. -I played 3 years of college golf at Lipscomb University -I graduated from Campbell University with my PGA certification -I have been teaching at Avalon since May of 2014

I love to see my students improve and watch their face when they finally hit a good shot and the light bulb goes off. I also enjoy the relationships I build with the students.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I get to know the student first. I watch them hit balls on the range for a little bit. Then I take some video of their swing and come up with a plan on how to improve their swing. Every student has a different body type so I'm not going to teach the same swing to everyone.
