I have been a golf professional for 35+ years and have taught golf all that time. Golf professional at Moccasin Bend golf course in Chattanooga and golf professional at Old Hickory CC. I am a State Open Champion and 2 time PGA state champion. I was player of the year in Tennessee 5 times. At the present time I teach at Cedar Creek Soports Center in Mt Juliet, Tn

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I try to work with what the student has and change as little as possible to help them become better at golf.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have many years of experience dealing with all handicap levels from the scratch player to the higher handicaps.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge 50 for a 1/2 hour session and 80 for 1 hour. Range balls are not included in the lesson.
How did you get started teaching?
The PGA had business schools which I attended and then started giving lessons at the facilities that I worked. Also being a good player helped me relate to the problems that most golfers face.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Check out the person and see if they would be compatible to your personality and way that you think about the game.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
They should know what they are expecting from the instuctor and what they want to accomplish in their golf game. What phases of the game do they need the most work and what they have to do to accomplish that.
