Will Bakes
About
I am a young advanced baker and have baking for 6 years at a high level. I have experience with teaching others to bake. I have attended 2 summer at Kendall College Culinnary Institute in Chicago. I have a baking Instagram called will.j_bakes where I post pictures of all my baked goods. I have some customers, that I sell to but I would really like to start teaching lessons.
I love baking and giving lessons because it makes me happy to see improvements in my students baking abilities.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working working with new students, I like to give a short list of questions, so I can see where they are at in their baking abilities and tailor their lessons to the specific areas that they would like to improve on.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been baking at an advanced level for 6 years now and have attended Kendall College Culinary Institute. This summer I worked as a volunteer counselor teaching 6th grade kids how to cook. This was a general cooking camp but their was baking involved and it was great experience for teaching how cook and bake. I currently work at a bakery as a front of house worker but am able to do some of the baking that I can legally do without the heavy duty equipment.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I have no set price, because it depends on the length of the lesson, tools, ingredients used and things that are needed for me to prepare before the student arrives.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with 6th grade students during the summer at a culinary camp that I volunteered at. These students had either some experience in the kitchen or none at all. I would like to start teaching more and be able to help bakers grow their skills.
