What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Start with the basics. Assess goals. Create a plan.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
30 years experience in the saddle. Studied natural horsemanship and then attended William Woods University. Graduated with a bachelor of fine art and a minor in equestrian studies.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$50/hour. Lessons are usually one hour long and scheduled once a week.
How did you get started teaching?
After college opened up my farm training, showing, breeding horses and teaching lessons.
What types of students have you worked with?
students are ages 5 and up from beginner to a national level competitor.

The smile of a student the first time they get to the trot. Priceless.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
A well rounded education makes for the best riders. Basics of a good foundation first. Build from there. It may take several lessons from different instructors to find the one that’s right for you but safety should always be first.

What are your needs are? Do you have goals? Have you ridden English and western? Safety first.
