Welcome! I am a high schooler in the DWF area that’s has been playing the viola for 7 years and the violin for 6. I have worked with 3 different orchestra, and helped prepare countless students for auditions. I teach mainly using the Suzuki method but vary to suit the students needs.

I help children learn violin with a strong foundation of ear training, reading music, theory, and correct posture. I work to understand and engage each student's learning style so I can best help with the learning process. If you want to see progress, I can help because I will identify and target areas for growth and build on my student's strengths. I foster an encouraging atmosphere to nurture my student's love for music. I draw on my lifelong experience with childcare and my violin performance degree to provide students with consistent high value violin lessons.

Hi, my name is Hui Jie, and I am an international student at Meadows School of the Arts, currently on a full scholarship majoring in violin performance. I am confident that I am a very good violin teacher. Although English is not my first language, I can explain concepts in the simplest and clearest way, which actually helps many students understand more efficiently. I always adjust my teaching style based on the student’s level and personality. I believe learning violin should be a journey of joy and self-discovery, not just technique or pressure.
