What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have successfully completed my level 1 PGA Certification and am constantly studying to complete the remaining levels. I have also particiapted in numerous player development workshops.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Single lessons and packages are available. Single lessons are typically 1 hour of instruction or option for a full round of play and instruction. Packages can include 3, 6, or 10 lessons.
NOTE: Pricing will vary based on location of lesson (ie, member exclusive golf course or an 'open to the public' course).
How did you get started teaching?
My love of golf started way before I began teaching. I was captain of my golf team in high school and was a member of the golf team in college before my hobby translated into a career. I have since been teaching golf for over 5 years.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of all ages and ability levels. In fact, I have hosted and coordinated summer camps for kids ages 6-12.
Based on the students skill level, I will integrate various teaching aids and swing analysis technologies to ensure that the lesson is tailored to fit their ability level.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
One of my young students has received an exclusive invitation to participate in a nationally recognized golf tournament. She has picked up her first club and began lessons just 2 years ago and has stayed focused on her goals ever since.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Though the game of golf is a mental challenge and requires dedication patience and practice, golf is a great way to socialize and enjoy the outdoors.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should have an idea of what goals they would like to acheive. Whether you are needing a crash course in golf for your first round or are a seasoned player looking to enchance your current skills, we can work together to determine the best lesson plan. Please feel free to ask any questions!
