I've been a high school golf coach, both boys and girls of all levels, for over 5 years. I have a full understanding of all aspects of the game, from the grip to proper course management. I'm a former national competitive golfer and former student of Hank Haney of Haney Golf Ranch (former coach of Tiger Woods). I believe that everyone has their own unique swing not a cookie cutter, 1 swing fits all, swing. I don't try to get a student to swing like this pro or that pro. I help the student uncover their own swing and make the proper adjustments to make it as effective as possible to become the best golfer they can be.
i love helping a student overcome the challenges, no matter what they may be, and watching the student "get it." When we "get it" golf is the most enjoyable satisfying game on earth.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Before I begin working with a student I like to know what the student wants to accomplish by taking lessons. Do they want to learn to the game because their significant other plays, because their business colleagues or customers play, or because they want to compete at the highest level possible (be junior golfer, high school, college, compete at their local club, or beyond)? Also, how often can they practice and what facilities will they be utilizing.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been playing golf since the age of 2. I played on several national junior tours, high school golf, was a former student of Hank Haney (Tiger Woods former coach), but was unable to pursue competitive golf further because of stress fractures in my back. I have been a head high school golf coach, for boys and girls, for over 5 years. I have worked with all level golfers, from the absolute beginner to the advanced college bound competitive golfer.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My rate is $40 for a single 45 minute lesson based on your needs and what aspect of the game you want to focus on. My rate will adjust if you would like to purchase multiple lessons upfront. That rate is negotiable depending on how many lessons you would like and where the lessons would take place. My rate is extremely competitive for my experience and knowledge level.
How did you get started teaching?
I got started giving personal lessons when I became a high school teacher in 2010. That eventually led to me becoming a head high school golf coach which I still am today.

I have worked with all level golfers, from the absolute beginner to the advanced college bound competitive golfer
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am very fond of and proud of taking the first boys team ever to regionals in Keene ISD as well as implementing a full fledged golf program at North Side High School in FWISD working alongside the First Tee Program of Fort Worth.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
My advice to any student looking for any teacher is simple...be sure the teacher works to develop your own unique and individual swing based around the proper mechanics. Sadly, too often today teachers attempt to make all students possess the "perfect most aesthetically pleasing swing" instead of the most effective swing for the student.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Be sure the teacher really has not only your best interest at heart but also is willing to dedicate the time and attention necessary to each student. The teacher works for you...you don't work for the teacher. I believe the teacher should also be accessible to their students to answer questions and address any concerns.
