About

As a lifelong student of aesthetic design (with 30+ years of instruction, study and intense personal interest in fine art as well as functional, ie decorative, art) who has studied a variety of artistic techniques and subdisciplines, I have mastered and can demonstrate many absolutely necessary artistic techniques that could prove to be invaluable aids to the new, budding artist as well as many more advanced techniques suitable for the accomplished artist wanting to advance their skill to a higher level.

My artistic specialities include calligraphy (& calligraphic design), illustration and sketch (pencil and charcoal) drawing, painting (acrylic, watercolor, tempura, and oil ina variety of styles), soft pastels, oil pastels, mixed media, creating beaded jewelry, sewing, cooking, makeup artistry, digital graphic design, web design, user interface design, and digital image editing.

Lately, I've been engaged primarily in creating mixed media abstract expressionistic works loosely inspired by the work of Jackson Polluck, having completed, to date, several dozen pieces in this series, all of which fall under the broad category of abstract expressionism, my current focus as an artist, and which I would personally have to say would be the most ideal artistic style to learn from me at the current time.

I enjoy creating beautiful things for the sake of beauty itself, and I value the ability to share my years of experience with those who wish to learn how to create their own visions of beauty.

    Frequently asked questions

I have been drawing practically all my life and most recently was enrolled as a Liberal Arts major in Rhode Island, where I have refined some of my self taught techniques and expanded my knowledge base.  I intend to return to college in Texas in the coming near future to continue expanding my artistic, linguistic, and musical expertise.

I have experience in almost all of the creative arts, some school taught, some self taught, and all of which I not only take seriously but also appear to have natural talent in, including, but not limited to, applying makeup, baking, beadwork, cooking,  crafting things, creating all kinds of things, creating custom calligraphic pieces, cutting and styling hair, cake decorating, designing web graphics and other things, drawing, frying almost anything, interior design, painting (acrylic, oil, watercolor), writing (creative, expository, how-to, poetry, nonfiction, etc...), and more.
