About
I do everything from one time riders to riders headed for horse shows, playday events, and trail riders. I teach safe ground handling procedures, grooming techniques, and safe riding practices. Making smiles with riders new to horseback riding or old hands at it is very important to me..
I have 40 plus years in the equine industry as a horse trainer or a riding instructor. I teach in a manner that is useful in any event inwhich you would like to compete.
I love watching my students be successful. That can be as simple as learning how to go from a walk to a trot for the first time, winning the first ever ribbon at a horse show or playday.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We generally start as private lessons. Learning the basics and moving up. We ride the first day usually!
I tailor my lessons for each student and am very patient and a low key and love seeing my students improve. I am very open to questions.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Equestrian Science.
I have given riding lessons and trained horses professionally for 40 years and been riding for over 50.
I love watching beginners of all ages learn and imporve.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My base price is $50. I adjust this for younger students with shorter attention spans. I also adjust it as needed for travel costs and time.
How did you get started teaching?
When I train a horse I needed to teach the owner how it was trained if they were/are unfamiliar. I also want riders in all types of riding to be safe when doing so.
What types of students have you worked with?
All types and ages from 2 1/2 years to 60+. They can be beginners or advanced.
