Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Depending on the student and what we are working on, lessons generally last about an hour or longer and students generally come once a week. I do have students who come several times a week as I offer a couple of different lesson programs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 2 college degrees although equine related! And I have 33 years experience owning training and riding horses
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I do. I like to explain my program and talk pricing over the phone I do not like to post my prices. I have several different programs available.
How did you get started teaching?
I've basically been teaching most of my experience with horses. I decided to make it a career about 7 years ago at the urging of friends and family who knew this was my Passion. I have 2 college degrees and I am a single mother. Starting my own business and teaching lessons and training horses has been a dream come true. I'm very fortunate to have a good program that has brought me a lot of new business and retained most of my customers. I do very little advertising. As word-of-mouth has proven to be The best form of advertising for me
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked mostly with children. Starting as early as age 4. I do have several adults in my program and most of the children that have started with me 7 years ago are still with me and are now in high school. I work with high school rodeo and teenage girls who barrel race and show competitively.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
