When the fundamentals meet up with motivational and mental phases of the great game oh golf ! Been "coaching" for over 30 years at various levels . Have State Championships and college scholarships all the way to mentoring coaches that led to numerous championships all the way to 8 state championships in a row, etcetcetc !
I have mentored young beginners, thru High School ( boys and girl teams) and also bringing adults from 90 to breaking 80 is exciting . My daughter was All State with numerous honors along the way . My son was Allstate leading his team to a Class 4A State Chsmpionship. Both had college offers !!! I was fortunate to spend many hours with Mr. Harvey Prenick at Austin Country Club in the 80's and his teachings form the bases of my approach to golf !!!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Fundamentals (stance, grip, balance, extension, shoulder turn, head still and follow thru. Course manangement, rules, etiquette, and equipment recommrmdation ! Breakdown shortgame (pitching, chipping and putting) Iron play, fairway woods and hybrids and driver. Motivational tools and other unique and helpful methods will be utilized.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Teaching golf golf for over 40 years . My mentor was the late and great Harvey Pennick of Austin Country club ( spent hours under his study and while ge was actually giving lessons) Coached at Andrews High School with numerous State Championship in both boys and girls gollf, with dozens going on to collegiate golf and several into professional golf .
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$150 to $200 per hour depending in client's goals.
How did you get started teaching?
I have been an athlete all my life ( all-state in 3 sports and played college sports. I coached 25 years and have been giving lessons for over 40 years.
What types of students have you worked with?
All ages and both male and female . I utilize my Counyty Club and have putting and chipping green in backyard with a very good golf simulator in my golf room inside my home.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I enjoyed the relationdhips over the years with all former students and really enjoyed coaching my son to All-State status in both golf and basketball ( he earned full college scholsrship) and most resently my daughter (who is now 22 was All-State golfer and opted to go to college on a Barrel Racing Scholarship).
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find a teacher that does not demand only his way to a good swing . Good swings come in many different looks and styles. Also, find a coach that has experience in getting someone to break 100, and also to break 80 and then a coach that helped players shoot par and better.
