About
The greatest feeling is to hear your student say "I shot my best round ever today". My passion for golf and teaching the game keeps me continuing to find ways improve myself as an instructor and my students as players.
I am a class "A" PGA Professional with 12 years of experience teaching beginners, intermediate, and advanced players solid fundamentals and techniques of golf. Each person has a unique set of skills and the lesson plans I create are specific to each individuals goals and needs.
Currently, I am getting an additional certification in teaching to enhance my skill set even further. If you feel you need to find an instructior that knows the golf swing, is a good communicator, and will help you reach your goals, I would love to get started with you.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First step with a new student is a brief interview to discuss the students goals. We will determine a number of factors that will help us plan for success. We will then start our lessons based on the students needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In the 12 years I have been a golf professional, I have learned from some of the best instructors in the business. Below is a list of my experience and training that has given me the skills to be a successful golf instructor.
*Class "A" PGA of America golf professional
*Valedictorian of my graduating class at the Professional Golfers Career College with a business degree in golf management with an empasis on techniques of teaching.
*I have conducted more lessons for more than 2,000 individuals including: ladies, men, seniors, juniors, beginners, advanced, special needs, private clinics, and large group clinics.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I have a standard rate of $75 per hour for adults or $40 for a half hour. I give discounts for a series of lessons.
My Junior Rate is $30 per 30 minute session.
I also offer clinic and group rates based on number of individuals.
How did you get started teaching?
My inspiration for teaching the game came from the first professionals who helped me learn the game. Teaching quickly became a passion that I now am priveleged to be able to do for a living.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with every type of student from beginner to very accomplished and everything between. I have also worked with a student with only one arm and a few others with autism. It would be great to gain more experience with disabled individuals.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I enjoy all lessons. Each lesson is like playing a different golf course; different challenges and fun in different ways.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
The best thing you can do is hire someone you are comfortable with and who you have an easy time communicating with. There are many great instructors and each will have differences in their approach. Most good instructors have the knowledge to help you reach your goal; make sure you enjoy the process.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Really know what your goals are and be honest with yourself about how hard you will work to acheive those goals. It doesn't matter if you want to be a tour pro or just be able to enjoy the game more with your spouce. Make sure you go into the process with a clear idea of what you want out of it.
