What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I like to do a first lesson to learn about the student and Gage where they are at with riding. Then I build a personal lesson plan around that student.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have over 11 years experience. And I have studied under multiple major trainers out of a barn in Reno Nevada.  Worked with students that have won multiple state titles.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

I charge $30 an hour for lessons.

$25 for group lessons

I also have multiple student discounts and homeschooling deals.

How did you get started teaching?

I always loved training horses and have been doing it since I was about 6 years old. When I did 4-h I started helping my fellow club mates  on the things they needed to fix in order to improve. Since then I have help a lot of friends make it to state and then also continued working with people of all ages after I was out of 4-h, to make their horse riding dreams come true.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with people of all ages. My youngest student right now is 4 years old  and my oldest is 72 years old.  I have students of all stages of riding knowledge and experience. I also do all types of riding lessons, like English, Western, and Barrels ext.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

This past June I took a few of my students to a pro-horse show. For 3 of them it was their first pro-show ever.  We managed to win almost all of the classes they entered and every single one of them placed in the top 5 in every class.  I was extremely proud of all of them! They all worked really hard to do the best they could and had a blast at the show!

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Find a teacher that connects with you. Someone who makes learning fun and can teach you everything you need to know.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

What is your goal for riding lessons.

What do you want to learn.

What style of riding do you want to learn.

Do you want to learn to learn to show or compete.

How often do you want lessons.

How far are you willing to travel for lessons.

Do you want group lessons or personal lessons.
