About this pro

I provide my students with basics of the hunter/jumper seat and teach them safety about horses and horse care. I have taught students all the way from total beginner all the way to show level. I have many years of experience teaching as well working with horses. I love teaching people my passion for the big beauties that horses are. I personally believe that everyone succeeds from the ground up and building up your confidence to be around horses and to ride them at your full potential.

I enjoy watching people experience the true joy and happiness of working with horses and understanding them from beneath you. It teaches people a lot about their own confidence and what they're able to learn about themselves and how to push themselves to be better every time. I was totally new to riding and I found that I had learned things I wouldn’t even think was important. It’s not just about your learning it’s also about learning the best ways to function affectively with the horse so you learn to work hand in hand

It is a great place to learn and I have been there over a year and have grown in my riding immensely. The sole focus is to build you up for greatness and I am now attending my first few shows this summer!

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

The beginning process is a steady introduction to understanding the mind and movement of a horse. We go everywhere from reading facial expressions to learning about tack and all parts of the horses body. We learn all the excercises for strength development in their legs as well as how to properly steer and stop a horse with the use of the seat. As the student develops we continue to adapt their riding so they learn everything they need in order to succeed.
Advanced or intermediate riders focus more on the developement of their strength and mind in a way they'll need for showing or to better ride the horse at a more powerful speed and to help them reach their full potential.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have about 10 years of training. I trained along side some of the best trainers in South Africa and 2 of those years had training with a professional show jumper. I started successfully running my own lesson program that has gone to the distance and will continue to flourish thanks to my wonderful and dedicated students.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
