Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Once a student makes an inquiry about my services, I will send over a range of options and pricing based on whether the client would like me to go to them for one-on-one sessions, or if they’d like to come to my studio in the Kingstowne area of Alexandria, Virginia.
Choosing to meet one-on-one in-studio vs joining one of my group classes also plays a role in pricing; as does whether the student chooses among various discounted packages.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I trained and received my yoga instructor certification in Costa Rica at the highly esteemed Nexus Institute for Yoga and Wellness. I decided almost immediately that the benefits I received from my thorough and deeply grounded education and practice must be shared by helping others reach their goals, and that yoga and wellness would be my path to do just that.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
In-studio group classes are $20 per class (one hour). Or, a pre-purchased block of ten in-studio group classes can be purchased at a discounted rate of $175.
In-studio, private one-on-one sessions are $35 per one hour session. Or, a pre-purchased block of ten in-studio one-on-one sessions can be purchased at a discounted rate of $325.
One-on-one sessions at your choice of location (within 10 miles) are $40 per session for one hour. Or, a pre-purchased block of ten one-on-one sessions at your choice of location can be purchased at a discounted rate of $375.
How did you get started teaching?
I came to yoga to find grounding, personal empowerment and physical restoration. The experience of following the yogic path was life-changing in all the ways I knew, in my soul, that it would be.
After several years of practicing on my own and exploring yoga and meditation through various yogis, healers and meditation methods, I found that I had most comfortably settled into a practice that combined Vinyasa yoga, meditation, Eastern-based wellness, great nutrition, and Ayurvedic medicine. It truly soothes my soul.
