Rebel’s Run is a small privately owned horse farm at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Afton, Virginia.
Welcome! My name is Mimi and I’m the owner, Instructor/Trainer here at Rebel’s Run. I’m very passionate about my horses and what I do. Very few can say they’re living their dream, but I am!
I’ve been riding since I was 5 years old. Showing, instructing and training most of my adult life. I love mentoring young girls and women who have a passion for horses.
Almost all of my life I’ve been a Hunter/Jumper, but 5 years ago I got in touch with my inner Cowgirl. And if I’m not in the ring schooling English, I’m in a field sorting cows or on a trail in my ranch saddle.
My horses are versatile enough to go back and forth between all disciplines and I school them myself regularly.
I believe in setting goals with my students. I want them to be excited about where we are headed with their instruction and how we plan on achieving those goals. I instruct with a focus on Horsemanship and Equitation. And FUN! I believe you can work hard and have fun😊
p.s. My horses are show horses, but as a side hustle, we give upscale trail rides to our vineyard neighbor Afton Mountain Vineyards. My horses are featured in quite a few travel magazines and videos for Virginia😍
