Misty Brae Farm is a recognized United States Pony Club Riding Center providing the USPC national curriculum to our students. We offer lessons to children as well as adults of all abilities from beginner to advanced riders. Our indoor arena and lighted outdoor ring allow for year round lessons days, evenings, and weekends. Showing is available in jumpers, dressage, eventing, hunters, and USPC rally team competitions. Misty Brae is a fun family oriented atmosphere.

I had several instructors before I started riding at Misty Brae so I can honestly say the quality of instruction is top notch, both in dressage and jumping. In particular, Tori, can spot something wrong with my position from a mile away, and she takes time to explain how its impacting the horse and my riding and how to fix it. No wonder Ive been riding there for eight years.

It is a wonderful stable where both of my girls grew up and learned to ride and become amazing horseman. She teaches them all aspects of riding and caring for horses. Has a great leasing program too so the kids can ride often and improve their skills quickly. And she has a wide variety horses and ponies for everyone level and stage of riding.

Instructors are caring and very knowledgeable! Such a great place for horseback riding and learning horsemanship. Riders are taught all aspects of riding and caring for horses.

I got classic, correct, and SAFE training! The head trainer, Tori, took the time to make sure I had a firm foundation before moving me up the levels, and now, I am able to apply my skills to a multitude of mounts with ease! With Tori’s training, I went from learning to jump cross rails to being selected for an international team! Training at MBF is centered around flatwork and adjustability, crucial pieces to all disciplines. I was taught not only how to ride, but how to be a good horse woman and proper care for mounts (nutrition, health, fitness). Absolutely recommend MBF to anyone learning to ride, or looking to fine tune their skills.

Quality of instruction. This barn also deeply cares about the students and the horses. Horses are well cared for and not ‘over riden’ and even the group lessons are tailored to student goals, needs and learning style.

I wanted my children to try riding, so after exploring the options I took them to Misty Brae. They were immediately welcomed by Tori, the instructors and most importantly by the other riders at the barn. Needless to say the level of instruction is really high, with the students learning all aspects of riding. They don’t just hop up on a saddled pony and go for a trail ride. They learn how to get their own horse/pony from the paddock or field, pick hoofs, groom and tack up. They are taught how to care for both their horse and equipment before their riding lesson even starts.
I now have two who would live there if they could!
My son was not enthusiastic about the idea and it took a great deal of persuading to even get him to go at all. Tori worked with him throughout the week of camp to help him feel comfortable, and he now wants to go and enjoys the camp experience.
I can’t say enough about how wonderful Misty Brae is and how happy I am that my kids have found a place and activity they can enjoy for a lifetime.
