Jennifer has been coaching my daughter for about 4 months now and you can tell she has a passion for horses and teaching others how to respect horses and learn to ride/get better at riding. She starts with the basics to ensure her students have a solid foundation as they learn to ride. She is patient with the students and takes many opportunities to teach students more about horses. My daughters skills has certainly improved over the past 4 months and we look forward to visiting the barn every week!
What I love the most about Jennifer is how her students describe her commitment to them as human beings. One student told me how she had lost all confidence riding with a former instructor and how Jennifer helped rebuild her overall confidence and even got her comfortable with jumping again. Another student told me how Jennifer worked with her to use horseback riding as a form of therapy to build confidence and reduce anxiety. Another Mom told me how she and her daughter drive almost an hour twice a week because Jennifer is so attentive to them, makes them feel relaxed at the barn, and has really supported her daughters horseback riding passion. My daughter feels so confident and empowered learning to ride -- she has learned how to persist when the horse doesnt immediately do what she wants it to do. Shes learned to be patience and reward her horse for positive behavior. These are all life-long lessons that Jennifer cultivates in her students that will undoubtedly make them better humans.

After devoting years to competing in showjumping, Coach Jennifer decided she wanted to help bring up a new generation of riders. She founded Jennifer Lee Jumpers in The Plains, Virginia, and last year morphed the lesson business into Middleburg Riding and was joined by Coach Teresa and more recently Coach Tori with the introduction of our Pony Pals program.
We work with all ages and all levels.
Recently we participated in the Marshall Christmas parade. It was fun for everyone to come together to make our float and take our ponies in the parade! Our Interscholastic Equestrian Team competed recently and was Reserve Champion. We have a group of 4th to 8th graders that compete in the equestrian program. We also have a team of Adults that are doing very well. We took a large group out for a two hour trail ride through the beautiful countryside just out our back door. We hosted a Working Equitation clinic and learned about the upcoming sport which is the fastest growing horse sport in the US. Through the winter we are attending the occasional local show and will be ready for Spring when there will be numerous shows, events and clinics to choose from!
