Anchor Ridge Equestrian LLC
About
I grew up riding horses on my grandmothers farm under the guidance of my uncle and other family members. As a teenager I started a working student positionat a large show barn locally where I gained further instruction and a ton of hands on experience. As I continued to grow and branch out in the world of horses so did my passion for riding and training. As I made friends over the years and was asked for help and lessons I discovered how much I enjoy helping people learn and grow in this sport.

What types of students have you worked with?
All ages and levels from the first lesson to jumping and showing successfully at 3'+
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Stop by once or twice to see how things look! Do the horses seem healthy and well cared for? Is it a calm setting or is there mass chaos? Some folks will thrive at a smaller facility, while others will love being in a larger, busier atmosphere. Ask folks around the barn how they like their lessons, etc. most folks are more than happy to chat!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What are your goals? Short term, long term? If you aren't sure, ask when you meet!!
How often can you ride? At least once a week is best, two is great! Some folks ride every other week. As with most things, more lessons and saddle time means you will advance faster. But it boils down to what works best for your schedule and budget.
