About

I not only offer trail rides on some wonderfully, smooth, sweet kind Tennessee Walkers, I have a beautiful large warm blood who is a great lesson horse.

I can offer lodging for horses and riders, when booking 4 day training/schooling sessions.

Bring your horse, or use one of mine. I specialize in gaining confidence for trail riding , both, human, and horse.

I have been riding and schooling horses for over 30 yrs.

I am currently working with a non profit organization, Equestrian Crossings as an instructor. We give adaptive riding lessons for ages 3 and up. Some of our students come to us for equestrian assisted physical therapy, some for emotional therapy, and some just for the love of horses.

I enjoy teaching safety as a part of good horsemanship. You can’t enjoy your time with such a large animal without learning good boundaries.

It can be very enlightening to both myself and my horses when teaching students a bit about horse body language. I like to ask them how body language applies in their own daily life.

I am currently a certified assistant instructor with CHA (certified horseman’s association), working to achieve my Instructor Certificate this fall. I have been certified with EAGALA (equestrian assisted growth and learning association) until 2006.

I have worked a a professional trail guide and trainer, with Blue Sky Riding Expierence, in Pescadero CA

I have an understanding of how important it is to have a sound healthy horse to help horses and their riders find the trust and partnership you both deserve.

In my off time I enjoy traveling with my husband.

Find me on Facebook, “Horseback riding Whidbey”, or, Equestrian Crossings (EQX) Freeland WA.
