I had always wanted to learn piano and I wanted to have something that my kids and I could learn together. I needed someone who was going to be good with both adults and kids and Rachel fit that perfectly. Rachel helped me by being so patient and encouraging. She made the learning process really fun but always challenged us to try to push ourselves in our learning. Her encouragement helped us want to practice in between lessons and we looked forward to her visits. She helped grow our love of learning music instead of making it feel like a chore. We were always excited to learn new songs and new lessons. My kids were very comfortable learning from Rachel. When they were struggling or made mistakes, her encouragement helped them to push through and make great improvements. I really appreciate Emiko's patience and ability to motivate my children playing piano. Yes we all acknowledge that there has been some tough days time to time (especially during my kid's teenage periods), however, we all went through this exciting journey of piano performance with such a joy until my girl successfully enrolled to MIT. Thank you, Emiko for endurance, patience, ability to communicate effectively about love of music. My girl still plays piano, due to the solid foundation and techniques acquired from Emiko's wonderful teaching.
