My favorite part of golf instruction is showing people how simple learning golf can be and helping them become the ideal golfer they want to be.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I typically do one session per month in person where we evaluate where the student's game is and begin to work on it, then over the course of the month between in-person sessions, we will continue to work on their game via online coaching and weekly video lessons.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
- PGA of America member
- Graduate of the PGA Golf Management program at New Mexico State University
- Multiple years of experience teaching at public and private facilities in the Puget Sound area
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I have 3 different levels of coaching programs costing $350, $500, or $650 per month, and they are all broken down in detail on my website, ballardgolfinstruction.com
How did you get started teaching?
I got started teaching as an Assistant Golf Professional, then decided to make the switch to teaching full time in early 2020.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with everyone from scratch golfers to absolute beginners.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I love playing competitve golf, so the recent events I'm fond of are usually prior tournaments.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
My advice would be to do your research and find a coach who is focused on helping you get better, not just trying to make an hourly wage.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should consider their goals and available time to practice, because those two factors will affect how the coach works with them.
