Signature Golf Academy
About
The only golf instruction program that explains what the club is designed to to and how it works. Our goal is to arm our students with the truth so they can work with their equipment instead of the 90% of golfers who work against thier equipment.
We break the short game shots of putting, chipping and pitching into simple repeatable shots that you can practice in build confidence.
We are the only golf academy in the Central Washington Area that works with our students on the golf course and teaches them to play golf not just hit balls.

We love to help our students enjoy playing the game with thier friends, family and in competitive events if they choose. We have developed many successful high school and college players in our junior programs.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I want to work with your swing and make it better. I explain and show you what you are doing to produce the ball flight that you do not like and I will explain how to get better.
Short game is 60-70% of your score and we work on short game in every lesson.
I enjoy playing with my students to teach them how to play golf, not just hit balls. On-course instruction is a big part of learning the game.
Properly fitting golf clubs are essential in building a repeatable swing and confidence. I am a certified club fitter and have helped many students make dramatic changes in thier game with better fitting clubs.

Teaching and Learning are a process.

I have worked with all types of students.
i specialize in adult beginners and junior golf programs.
I have developed some very successful high school players, junior players and successful college players.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We had a family golf day at the last course I had a golf academy. 260 people showed up and most signed up for one of our programs. We helped a lot of people who had never played golf before.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Ask a lot of questions. Do they have a certification to teach juniors or a PGA Member. There are a lot of people who want to teach golf but honestly don't know enough about the swing and the clubs to help people. If a person is an OK golfer they probably can't teach.
Free advice is worth waht you paid for it.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Know what you are looking for - Experience and skills!
A good player may not be a great teacher.
Would you take flight lessons from someone who was not licenced? Why take a golf lesson from someone who does not have credentials? Is your golf game not worth it?
