The Riding Place Equestrian Center
About
We offer lessons and instruction currently only for riders whohaul-in with their own horse. Training sessions for your own horse are available either on a haul-in basis or board with us for monthly training.
We all love horses! We love to help people enjoy the same passion for them that we and our employees enjoy.
At the Riding Place we strive to be sure that each horse used for lessons fits the rider's size and ability.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Introduce the new student to our instructor; I have 2 instructors currently and have another coming on board shortly. The instructor will interview with the student and get them started on reaching their goals, etc. With horseback riding, there are many things to consider: Safety first; correct and proper riding attire; learning about horses in general, ie, grooming to begin with. Proper equipment: Saddle, bridle, and much more.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am the owner of the facility and am not the instructor, although with a lifetime of riding and owning horses, I can certainly do the basics. However, we hire instructors/trainers who are independent contractors, and who would have their own biography to present to the student.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Standard pricing is $50.00 for a student using a school horse and does not board with us. If the student had their own horse it would be less; the barn has a schedule of lessons fees which would vary with the situation: Hauling in a horse, boarding with us, etc.
Many instructors offer a lesson package, which can vary with the instructor. As instructors at The Riding Place are independent contractors, they would set their own package prices, etc.
How did you get started teaching?
I am the owner of the facility; not the designated instructor. That is a question to be answered by the instructor.
