Since graduating with my BS in exercise in 1996, I have been an independent trainer, and added my level V Pilates Certification from Balance Within Movement Studio in 2001. This certification includes all the equipment and advanced mat.
I would like to think I have given every sport a shot along with every injury. In turn, this has given me the opportunity to work with local pelvic, thoracic, physical therapy, cranial sacral, acupuncture, and massage specialists to recover and put myself back together.
Whether you are recovering from an injury, strengthening a particular sport, or looking to find an activity to keep you strong as you age, Pilates can do it. It is challenging yet safe form of exercise, that balances well with recovery, prevention, and taking any sport to the next level. With 20 plus years of professional training, body building, assisting East-side corporate fitness centers and Puget Sound physical therapy clinics, have now come to enjoy running a small private Pilates and fitness studio in downtown Bellevue for the past 15 years.
I feel I have acquired a large tool belt, full of exercise principals to help you in whatever your goals may be. Each body is so different in its structure and movement experience that I find it extremely rewarding to take each individual to their personal next level.
My movement activities include walking/running, yoga, rollerblading, snowboarding, and wake-boarding. Movement is life, so whatever you decide to do, keep moving and be good to your body!
