About
I love to work with people on reaching their goals and developing the best balanced foundation for all disciplines. I don't teach out of a barn, I come to you! I travel within the Cowlitz/Clark county area and am looking forward to giving a one time tuneup lesson or developing a long term program just for you! I have taught for years but outside of experience I am certified in USPC as an HB, C1, C2.
I love seeing something finally click in a riders mind and being able to take themselves to the next level, my favorite thing is seeing the progress and growth to a riders goal and seeing them reach it and creating new goals!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
If possible I like to have an evaluation lesson, where I assess the riders skills and talk about their goals and see if I'm the best instructor to take them where they want to be. After that we developed a plan based on schedule, commitment, goals and budget to get you where you need to be!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My standard prices for lessons are $30 for 30 minutes, $60 for 60 minutes plus mileage. If there are multiple riders in the same barn who want to do a group lesson, discounted price will be available depending on numbers of riders.
If you would like to work on a monthly plan instead of paying each lesson, we can work out a monthly payment plan as well, which would have discounted prices as well.
How did you get started teaching?
I started as a working student when I was 15 and a half at a local barn and started helping with local parks n rec classes about a year later. After that I became the main instructor for the classes and started taking private lessons for beginners. During that time I was in pony club, 4-h and IEA. I helped coach my IEA team, taught lessons and assisted in lessons and passed with exceeding standards at my HB testing in teaching. I have also taught 4-h clinics and private lessons for kids, teens and adults.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with kids as young as 3 years old and as old as 65+ years old. I love working with the tween/teen and young adults but I have experience with all ages and learning styles!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
There are so many instructors and so many teaching styles and training ideas and systems. Get a trainer/instructor based on your needs and goals, and if training foundation and style matters to you, communicate it to your instructor. If they are good they will work with you and your learning style and needs and goals.
