About
Alicia was born and raised in Madison, WI. She played golf in high school and college. Alicia played for Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida where she studied Sports Management. During Alicia’s sophomore year, her team won the Division 2 National Championship. As an individual, She won the 2009 Lewis Aviator Classic and was all-conference her junior and senior year.
Alicia is a Class A LPGA Teaching and Club Professional. Alicia teaches out of Cherokee Country Club on the Northside of Madison. Her philosophy in teaching the game of golf is to help her students improve their skills and develop their abilities. Her students will know and have an understanding of what will occur during each session. The student will not only learn what they need to improve to reach their goals but they will also learn the why behind it. This will give the student a better understanding of their golf swing.
I enjoy working with all different skill levels. My passion is developing players and watching them improve from lesson to lesson.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to interview the student so that I can get a better understanding of what they want to get out of each lesson, short term and long term goals. I also start with a physical screen so that we don't injuries or re-injure any past issues. I then like to observe the student on the range before we come up with a plan that fits best for that particular student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a LPGA Class A teaching professional. I played college golf as well as professionally on the Symetra Tour and Sun Coast Tour.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $40/half hour and $80/hour.
How did you get started teaching?
My passion has always been golf so once I stopped playing professionally I decided to do the next best thing and help others improve their game.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of all skill levels.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would advise the student to choose an instructor that they feel comfortable. It is important that you choose an instructor that is able to teach to your learning style.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should identify if they learn best by seeing, hearing, doing or any combination of those. As long as you feel comfortable with your instructor and they are able to teach to your learning style, you will get the most out of each lesson.
