Mike Quinlan Golf
About
I like to teach the concept of the golf swing to increase your understanding of what is actually happening. If you understand why the ball goes high, low, left or right you are more capable of fixing issues your self. You will not always have someone to hold your hand on the golf course and your ability to own your swing will make you a better golfer.
I do this because I feel golf is the most fun and challenging sport you will play. I teaches so many life lessons and brings out so many positive qualities in people it makes it easy to be around. I also love to watch people get better at golf and enjoy the journey.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to assess the golf swing and diagnose the problem. I also find it extremely important to offer the student the "why" to help them retain knowledge and constantly improve.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a PGA Professional with extensive knowledge of the game, the swing and the business. I have studies for year to make myself a better instructor as well as a student of the game.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My lessons are $45 per hour. I also offer clinics to work on specific parts of game.
How did you get started teaching?
I got started teaching about the same time I was learning. I fell in love with the game and studied all I could to make myself better and try to help others improve as well.
What types of students have you worked with?
I work with students of all ages and abilities. I am a certified US Kids instructor and member of the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA).
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
If you take a golf lesson and your instructor tells you what to do buy doesn't tell you why to do, they might not know. It is my experience that the reason why you do something is more important than how.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I think setting goals is something you should do prior to starting your journey to improvement. Goals should be specific, measurable, attainable, relevant and time based; most people have heard of SMART goals and I truely belieive in them.
