About
I have been teaching for 41 years, make it fun and relaxing and use other sports that the student has played before to associate that motion with the golf swing motion.
Showing students how simple the golf swing really is so they do not get caught up in lots of swing thoughts. It is easy to teach people how to get the ball in air and go pretty straight the hard part of the game is learning how to handle all the variables in the game (sand, hilly lies, longer grass, and distance control with all types of shots).

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First I ask what their average score is and what is there normal bad shot. I then ask what other sports they have played anytime in their life. Then have them hit some balls asking them when they hit a bad shot what they think they did wrong. This helps me understand why they swing the way they swing. I then have them explain the golf swing to me to find out what they know or consentrate on when playing. After gathering enough information I then correct any flaws in their grip, posture and allignment. Once these are corrected I then see how much their swing changes based upon a proper foundation. From there the first lesson is all about the big picture, their overall body motion. Later lessons will be the time I then work on specifics such as backswing and forward swing, chipping and putting.
