About
Jessica Willis, JLR Farm
My passion for coaching came from my own curiosity about how to really connect with horses. I’ve always had a deep connection to animals and an enormous love for horses. I began training before I was 10 and after college I began to learn how we can holistically support our own intuition to enhance training. My goal is to help riders experience success showing their own horses with winning performances! I believe in empowering horse owners, and their horses, to reach their fullest potential by inspiring them and allowing success to simply move through them. My biggest mentor is also my coach and sister, Jen Molitor. She is committed to empowering others to be true to who they are, to find and trust their inner voice, and to see themselves as worthy of investing time and energy into developing themselves.
Over the years, I’ve coached doctors, engineers, teachers, and business owners and empowered them to take action in building the connection with their horse they envision & to overcome the inner blocks that prevent them from being successful.
My clients learn how eliminate those pesky show nerves, how to create a more responsive horse, and how to truly improve their show success.
In 2009, I had the chance to get started working on my first business. I quickly realized I needed an organized system for supporting clients and ideas for supporting their growth. Even though I had a Master’s Degree and years of experience in teaching, horses and humans alike, I needed to find a mentor or a program to support my lack of no-how in communicating what exactly it was that I did and how it benefited my ideal client. I didn’t need another degree. I needed a proven, authentic system that would help me overcome my money blocks and help me get my message to the right people. And, since I was committed to building a business based on integrity and a desire to make a difference, I set out to find some answers. I took classes, got coaching, and learned from some of the best heart-based business experts in the industry. The strategies and templates I developed for trainers, horse owners, and those eager to get results are now integral parts of my Skyrocket your Horse Show Success and have been shared with horse owners to ease the overwhelm and eliminate the inner blocks to achieve success.
YOU are infinitely powerful. YOU deserve to love your horse show career and be inspired daily. Every bold action step you take is a message to the universe- one that says, “I’m ready to make a difference. I’m ready to align my passion with my horse show career. Let’s do this!”

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Prior to our first lesson you will recieve a welcome letter and questionnaire that will help identify your goals, areas of need, and strengths. This will help us align our lesson plans with your goals and gain progress quickly. At the end of each lesson we will recap what we worked on and review what homework you can do in between lessons.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have interned with Month Roberts at his farm in Solvang California, earned an associates degree in equine studies, and a master in education. I have continued my training in all things Equine and have even traveled to Spain in 2018.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Lesson prices are as follows:
hourly on your own horse $45
hourly on our horse $55
traveling within 30 minute radius $100
traveling lesson farther than 30 minutes call 304-840-5295 for a quote.
How did you get started teaching?
I grew up in a training and boarding barn which gave me the opportunity to start training and teaching at a very young age. It is truly my passion in life! I hope to open the doors to help other aspiring riders to live their dreams as well!
What types of students have you worked with?
Young horses whose owners need more guidance have seen great success with JLR Farm as well as trail riders, competitive riders, and all avenues in between. Most of our clients are western, English, or trail riders.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure you find an instructor that aligns with your values and goals. If you have a gut feeling go with it and don’t settle for someone who doesn’t empower you to reach your goals. If you have reservations about how they are teaching try another instructor.
