Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First off I like to learn about the student and what makes them want to begin golf instruction. Did they play sports before? What are your goals for the game of golf? Have you had any injuries in the past that may impede you building an efficient and consistent golf swing?
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a PGA of America member. I completed my PGA certification while studying at Arizona State University. I have played competitive golf and have learned that to make the quickest improvement to a player, the best way is to focus on putting and chipping.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$50 for one hour of instruction.
$200 for an instruction package of five lessons.
How did you get started teaching?
I began studying golf swings on the internet and then vounteering for teaching clinics while at school. Helping others learn golf has made me a better instructor and has helped me identify each student's needs quickly. I have also taken lessons from many golf professionals around the United States to see many different teaching techniques and methods. Every instructor is different, just as every student of the game is different. It is my job to determine what the best way to teach you is based on how you learn and retain/understand information we go over on the practice tee.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all types of students, from beginners to seniors, professionals, amateurs, club champions, and average golfers just looking to save a couple strokes a round when they go out and play with their buddies. Depending on the students goals and aspirations, I will help you develop a plan of action and hold you accountable to reach your golf goals if you decide to work with me.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure to find someone that YOU are comfortable with. That is very important when deciding on an instructor.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Always have in mind what it is you want to get out of your time at the golf course, or what it is you want to improve in specifically to make you a more consistent golfer.
