Hi, there. I’m Ted Davidson, and I’m back in the game. A necessary, lengthy “time out” has helped me in any number of ways. For example, I now realize that I approach golf as both an artist and a scientist. First, as a golfer, I’m a professional performance artist. I like to think that my moves are as artful as Baryshnikov’s. I’ve played on Professional Tours for over 23 years, until long-delayed spinal operations a few months ago forced me to take a vacation. I’ve also known for a long time that I’m better than most pros at training people

Learn from a single digit handicap player, not just a "pro" who runs a golf shop who probably can't break 80. I am a low single-digit handicap player and I will show you what you are doing wrong in your swing, why it's wrong, and what to do right all for half of what a "pro" charges. After our first lesson, if you don't feel like I have started you down the path of enlightenment, you don't have to pay me a dime. All levels welcome.

Not only can it be difficult but it can also be intimidating and confusing. There is a lot of information out there in the golfing world and it can be overwhelming, but that is where I come in. I believe the key to golf is to simplify everything, the more simple you can make it the easier it becomes. Once you simplify and start to learn what is really happening in the golf swing, everything becomes much clearer. Then when you understand what is really

Golfers already with a swing that they want to improve plan of attack varies.  Most often instruction is a first step whether individually, with a friend, or as a family. Mentoring the student to the course is just as important as a lesson of the swing. I have taught all levels and am more than willing to help the student with club fitting and purchase if needed.

Golf Schools of Phoenix

Andy Prosowski · Phoenix, AZ

What or who inspired you to start teaching?

I have been on a golf course all my life. Starting as a caddie and working my way up doing everything that one can think of in the golf business. My life change when I was going to try the tour but I won the draft lottery and was drafted into the Army and trained for Vietnam. Instead I was shipped to Germany where I was in the infantry but also played golf for the Army.

Upon leaving the Army I did my apprenticeship at the James River Country Club where I started teaching and found I had a special relax way of teaching. From there I went on to my first head pro job that found me doing a great deal of teaching of members of my club along with many members of other Private clubs in the area.

Tell us about your passion for teaching

The way I teach was really shaped when I was assistant Director at a big golf school where in a weekend the school would handle 60 students on a weekend. My philosophies change because to really teach a student well you had to really get to know them. Find out there thoughts, fears and concepts. At that point I really personalize my instruction. No matter who I teach from pros’ to beginners I take the time to know them. I actually put them through a verbal personality test! As for my Philosophy everyone is a different puzzle to put together and there is no one way to hit the ball. I break my teaching into 4 sections 1-techical 2-physical 3-mental 4-emotional or spiritual.

What advice would you give aspiring students?

My Goal is to make a golfer reach their potential and use golf as a vehicle to get away from the stress of life. Golf is a game that is more than the score. Enjoy the beauty and learn things about yourself.

My passion about teaching is a give and take. The best thing for me is the people that I meet that I probably would have not known if not for golf. My advice to them is golf is a journey and they should remember how long it took to get to where they are in their chosen field.

Through Modern technology it allows me to become their instructor for life! One can find me in the Winter Teaching at my golf School ,Golf Schools of Scottsdale and in the summer as director of golf instruction @ Quechee Club in Vermont
