I learned to sew when I was 9 years old. My grandmother was a professional seamstress and taught me the value of well crafted and unique clothing. I designed my first gown when I was 17 and have been designing ever since. I have created costumes, gowns, comfort wear and accessories. I love the process from a concept to the actualization of a design. I have taught fashion design and development for 20 years and have worked in the apparel industry for 30. I graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Arts from the Tyler School of Art at Temple University, a very prestigious art school in Philadelphia, PA. It is a very difficult school to be accepted into and a great and expansive program, arguably one of the best. Between raw talent and an amazing education, I have plenty of experience and knowledge to share. I am particularly gifted at knowing how to help others improve their artistic skills, as I have a keen and trained eye.
